"You were the seal of perfection, full of wisdom and perfect in beauty. You were in Eden, the garden of God; every precious stone adorned you: carnelian, chrysolite and emerald, topaz, onyx and jasper, lapis lazuli, turquoise and beryl. Your settings and mountings were made of gold; on the day you were created they were prepared." ~ Ezekiel 28:13 (NIV)

Lucifer was a guardian cherub and a member of the seraphim, the highest choir of angels. Lucifer was tasked with leading the entire angelic army in Yahweh's worship and duty.
Lucifer in his free will chose to rebel against God and attempted to steal His authority. Because of his hubris or extreme pride, he was ejected from Heaven and thrown down to the ground as a result of his rebellion. Revelation 20:10 reads, "And the devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever".
As a result of this heinous sin against God, Lucifer was banished from living in heaven (Isaiah 14:12). He became corrupt, and his name changed from Lucifer (morning start) to Satan (adversary). His power became completely perverted (Isaiah 14:12,15,17). After his fall, Lucifer became the devil, who serves his own agenda and seeks to devour others. He convinced one-third of the angels to join in his rebellion.
So how easy is it for him to convince us?
Lucifer who may have once been regarded as the angel of music in heaven, is now the angel of music in the world. Only he desires to be worshiped and adored for his is dark, sinister and evil intent. Satan's influence in music has been prevalent and powerful. Dabbling in witchcraft simply consists of making a pact with the chief (as he's referred to by many). The pact is between a person and the devil, trading a soul for diabolical favors, which vary but tend to include youth, knowledge, wealth, fame and power. Throughout the years, Satan has been worshipped as so many different deities, including Baal and Baphomet. No matter the name, it's the same deceptive ruler with the same wicked purpose: to steal, and to kill, and to destroy (John 10:10).
Black magic or dark magic can seem harmless and attractive. Satan wants to rule and uses music as a tool to get his way. Curses and spells can be conveyed through lyrics that are chanted in our homes, cars, as well as concert halls. The more followers, the merrier. We're blindly submitting to Satan without realizing the real consequences of eternal damnation. Black magic and its momentary gain have captivated and convinced many artists to sell their souls. But is it really worth it in the end? "For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?" (Mark 8:36) That's what makes black magic so deceptive. You're not gaining anything because the world and all the things thereof will pass away. Where will we end up if we worship and follow Satan? You can have all the money in the world, but you can't take it with you. We pursue heaven on earth but buy our way into hell. Why does hell sound so amazing to many of us? Why so many of us view it as one big after party? Why is Satan so cool to us? Why can't we open our eyes and hearts to see how truly vicious he is. He's laughing at us while leading us to down the path of destruction. He betrayed GOD Almighty, so why would he care about us? He hates God and all the beauty he's created (including us - we were made in God's image). Lucifer wanted His authority, not for good but for sin. On earth, he got it because we give it to him. We willingly give in to his temptations.
The angel of music is wickedly cunning at influencing the masses. We may think we're in control but just merely puppets. Satan will use you, chew you up and spit you out with no regard. There's no love in him at all. He doesn't care about you being rich and powerful. He doesn't care about you being famous. His gifts or blessings are nothing more than a mirage of happiness. It's one big lie!
All the ritualistic symbolism and spell spewed words/imagery, glorifying evil, human sacrifices made with a hell bound mission. It's no wonder we feel depressed or even suicidal after listening to certain songs. We indulge in temporary pleasures, trying to cope in our weariness instead of turning to God. All a part of Satan's plan! To pull us further and further away from God as possible.
It's hard to believe that something as beautiful and melodic as music could be used as a trap for Satan but it can. He preys on our strength and pounces when we're weakest. Keep thinking that it's just music. Keep thinking that Satan is cute, cuddly and something fun to play with. Satan sees us as worthless filth and wants us to burn in hell with him and his fallen angels.
God sees us as so much more. He offers us peace though we choose chaos. He offers us unconditional love though we choose hate. He offers us redemption though we choose bitterness. He offers us happiness though we choose misery. Why? We have free will to choose joy but are a glutton for pain. "And if it is evil in your eyes to serve the LORD, choose this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your fathers served in the region beyond the river, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD." ~ Joshua 24:15
It's not about being rich or poor. It's about choosing life or death. We don't have the power to defeat Satan, but God does. Choose Satan and live in darkness and fear. Choose the LORD and shine in His light, free and abundantly blessed. Be mindful of the music you listen to. Also don't allow Satan to use you as a pawn for his wicked schemes disguised in glamor. It may be glitter, but it isn't gold. Music is meant to uplift, inspire, mend hearts and bring people together. It can be healing and refreshing. You will be blessed while being a blessing to others. God gives gifts to be used for His glory! So, feel free to express your feelings through song and share messages of hope. Don't worry about fame or fortune. Be passionate, purpose driven and remain humble, allowing God to exalt you. You will shine bright like a star in His sky!
Seek the LORD Jesus Christ for wisdom, strength and discernment. Jesus is the way, the truth and the life (John 14:6). He died for us, that's how much he loves us. Music is vocals or instrumental sounds made combined in such a way as to produce beauty of form, harmony, and expression of emotion. Like when the heavenly host of angels sing beautifully before God and rejoice every time one of us gives God our heart for salvation. It's more than just a happy ending. It's eternal victory!
